I've received about 1,000 hits, so far, amongst the various traffic sites I've signed up with. So, I asked at the forums of SFI if they worked or not. Some say, "yes," some say "no."
After reading this article at SFI (note, you must be a SFI member to view this article. It is FREE to join, so if you are not a member, join up to view this page. Then, someone told me the can work. So, I'm going to give them a try, again.
I'm removing from my list the sites that offer auto-surf. I've received feedback, and I feel my feelings were confirmed: sites that offer auto-surf only benefit the person who owns the site. Why? They have ads in addition to the auto-surf that you will eventually click on. They get paid per click, or if people sign up. People will pay more attention to those ads then the pages that are auto-surfing because you see them in order to log-in as well. also, they are harvesting your email address. Some sell those email addressed, others will use it to send you "offers."

SmileyCentral offers auto-surf. If anyone finds that one of the above has added it, let me know.
In the next upcoming post, I'll update you on which ones are generating the most amount of hits. Also, I'll share a tip that may explain WHY some of these traffic exchange sites MIGHT not be earning your hits. Check back, soon.
Autosurfs are only good if you need to get hits to your sites. Are you trying to build your Alexa rankings? or do you get paid in some way for getting a click to your site? if not stay away from autosurfs.
ReplyDeleteAs far as manual Traffic exchanges go, I always look for sites with high member counts that you can target your audience at. If you cant sell to China, why advertise there?
Tom, these are new concepts to me, and your information is much appreciated! Good advice on the target audience.
ReplyDeleteNow what does an Alexa rating do for you? Does it help you to get higher in a google search, for example? Or do search engines discriminate between those types of clicks?
For what I was blogging about, I only earn when people sign up. So, the clicks are to bring exposure and the hopes people will sign up for the ads. They are affiliate sites.
However, I do have private sites that have google adsense, and it would be nice to get higher in the google ranking with those.
Your input is much appreciated. Thank you!
Do Not put sites with google ads in Traffic Exchanges. Adsense will delete your account ...see there terms
ReplyDeleteOh, no, that site does not have a TE. It's just a fun, cute site. Good to know, in case others planning on a TE check here :)
